Swivel Assistant

Ask Swivel. Watch it work.

Say what you need in everyday words, and Swivel finds the clients, books the tasks and builds the spreadsheet.

An example chat in the Swivel Assistant on Jane Rivera’s contact page. Asked which Austin clients have a review due this month, it finds four contacts and lists them in a table. Then it creates a call task for each one, and exports the list to a spreadsheet you can download or file to a record.

What you can ask

Type it the way you’d say it

The assistant reaches over 1,100 Swivel actions, the same ones behind your screens. Here’s what advisors and agents ask, area by area.

Contacts and households

  • “Find everyone tagged #annuity in the 85001 zip code”
  • “Who has a birthday next month?”
  • “Add Linda Park as Tom Park’s spouse”
  • “Add a note to her: called about her RMD”

Opportunities and pipelines

  • “Open a new opportunity for Dan Reyes”
  • “Move the Garcia opportunity to Application Submitted”
  • “What’s on my opportunities board?”

Products, transactions and compensation

  • “Add a fixed indexed annuity to the Garcia opportunity”
  • “Change the amount on her last premium transaction to $25,000”
  • “Has the compensation on the Reyes policy been paid?”

Tasks and appointments

  • “Make me a task to call Maria back on Friday”
  • “Book an annual review with the Parks next Tuesday at 2”
  • “What’s on my calendar this week?”

Email, texting and calls

  • “Which texts haven’t I read yet?”
  • “Email Maria a reminder about Thursday’s review”
  • “Show me my recent emails, texts and calls with the Parks”
  • “Log a call with Dan from this morning, and add a note: left a voicemail”

Campaigns and events

  • “Create the Annual Review campaign for March”
  • “Register the Parks for Thursday’s retirement seminar”
  • “Start a new-client welcome campaign”

Workflows and automations

  • “Start the New Application workflow for Dan Reyes”
  • “Mark the suitability step done”
  • “Build an automation that emails clients on their birthday”
  • “What did my automations do yesterday?”

Reports and dashboards

  • “Run the sales report for last quarter”
  • “Who has referred the most clients?”
  • “Put the portfolio report in a spreadsheet”
  • “Add a dashboard widget that totals issued premium”

Settings and team

  • “Add a sales stage called Underwriting”
  • “Invite jamie@example.com to the team”
  • “Give Jamie an access code for annuities only”

And it makes the files

Spreadsheets, Word files, slide decks, PDFs.

Ask for the file and it arrives in the chat with Download and File it. Already have the paperwork? Drop in a PDF or a photo and say whose documents it goes in.

  • “Turn my portfolio report into a slide deck for Monday’s team meeting.”
  • “Save this statement to Maria’s documents.”

Example: on Maria Delgado’s page, the assistant makes a slide deck for her review, shown as a file card with Download and File it. Then Maria’s statement, a PDF, is dropped into the chat with “Save this statement to her documents,” and the assistant files it to Maria Delgado’s documents.

Help, any time

How-to answers are always free

Ask how anything in Swivel works. Answers come from the Swivel help center, with links to the articles, and they never use AI credits. Not even at zero, as in this chat.

  • From steps to done. After it explains how, it can offer to do it for you.
  • Stays open as you move. The chat follows you from page to page, and History keeps your past chats.

Example: an account with no AI credits left asks how to buy more. The assistant answers with steps from the help center and links to two articles, and the answer is free.

Example: on Dan Reyes’s contact page, the assistant puts his products in a spreadsheet. Tapping File it on the file card saves it to Dan Reyes’s documents, and the card then reads Filed to Dan Reyes.

Works where you are

“This,” “her” and “him” mean the record on your screen

Each message carries the page you’re on and the record that’s open, so you never type an ID. It shows as a “Using” chip over the message box.

File cards
Every file it makes arrives as a card with Download. Files stay in your Swivel downloads for 90 days, and only you can open them.
File it
One tap saves the file to a contact, a product, another record or your firm’s documents. Not sure where? It asks.
Opens the page
Talking about a record or a screen? It can take you there.
Show it, don’t type it
The + button screenshots the page or attaches images, PDFs, spreadsheets and documents: up to 10 files a message, 40 MB each and 45 MB in all.

Someone from the Swivel team

The team is one tap away

When the assistant doesn’t have the answer, it says so and offers the Swivel support team. A teammate joins the same chat, and the assistant keeps answering until they do.

Hand-off with a summary

The team gets a private summary of the chat, so you don’t repeat yourself. The header shows who’s online; when they’re away, they reply in the chat and by email.

Example: asked why a client was charged twice, the assistant offers to bring in the team. After the tap, Maria Lopez from Swivel Support replies in the same chat.

Tickets, filled in for you

The assistant writes the ticket from the chat, and you check it before it’s sent. Follow it in the Tickets tab, or ask “Where is my ticket?”

Example: the assistant fills in a bug report about calendar sync from the chat, with a title, a description and an area, and buttons to send it or not.

Bring your own AI

Already work in Claude or ChatGPT? Bring Swivel along.

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Swivel account and ask it about your book of business. It gets the same Swivel actions as the assistant, over 1,100 of them, and it doesn’t use your Swivel AI credits.

  • Claude
  • ChatGPT

Paste this into your AI app’s connectors, then sign in to Swivel.

AI credits

3,600 more free, every month

Every Swivel subscription now gets 3,600 more free AI credits a month. Premier totals 7,200. Help answers never use them.

Example: the credits gauge in the assistant’s header, opened, shows 2,847 AI credits left with links to Usage history and Buy credits.

What uses credits
Requests where the assistant looks up or changes your Swivel data. The same balance covers Ask AI and the meeting notetaker.
What never does
Help answers (even at zero credits), handing the chat to the team, and Claude or ChatGPT connected to Swivel.
A gauge in the chat
It turns amber below 10% of your monthly amount and red at zero. Tap it for credits left, usage history and buying more.
Settings > Billing
Owners buy packs, set up automatic reload, and see usage by day, person and activity.

Included credits refresh each calendar month and don’t roll over. Credits you buy don’t expire. Included credits are used first.

FAQ

What people ask before they start

Do I need to turn the Swivel Assistant on?

No. It is on for every Swivel account. Click the round sparkles button in the bottom-right corner of any Swivel page and start typing.

Who gets it?

Your whole team has it from day one: everyone who signs in to a Swivel account. In your own account it answers help questions, works with your data and brings in the team. When you view another account, through Network View or as a reseller, it answers help questions and opens tickets, but it doesn’t change records there.

Can it file a document I already have?

Yes. Drop a PDF or an image into the chat and say where it goes, for example “Save this statement to Maria’s documents.” Files the assistant makes (spreadsheets, Word files, slide decks and PDFs) come with Download and File it.

Are help questions free?

Yes. Answers from the Swivel help center never use AI credits, even when your account has none left. Only requests that look up or change your Swivel data use credits.

What is an AI credit?

The unit Swivel uses to measure the AI work the assistant does in your account. Looking up or changing your data uses credits. Help answers never do. Every Swivel subscription now includes 3,600 more free each month (Premier totals 7,200), and the same balance covers Ask AI and the meeting notetaker.

Can the assistant see or do more than I can?

No. It works as you, inside your account, and checks the same permission rules as the Swivel screen it mirrors. Your role and your access code apply, it can’t reach another firm’s records, and its changes show in record history under your name.

What can’t it do yet?

Emails and texts it sends can’t carry attachments. It logs calls but doesn’t place them. Texting needs a Swivel texting number, and email needs a verified sending account.

Will it send an email or delete a record without asking?

No. Anything that deletes, sends an email or text, reaches outside Swivel or can’t be undone waits for you to tap “Yes, go ahead”. Purchases show a preview with the price first, and more than 25 changes at once need your Yes too. Long requests pause at 200 credits and ask before they keep going.

What does the assistant see?

Each message carries the page you’re on: its address, its title and the record that’s open. The text on your page is never sent, and you can take the page off any message. It reads only what your permissions let you open, and the files it makes open only for you.

Which AI apps can I connect to Swivel?

Claude and ChatGPT. Add https://mcp.swivelcrm.io/ as a connector in the app, sign in to Swivel and approve the connection. It gets the same Swivel actions as the assistant, over 1,100 of them.

Does my own AI app use Swivel AI credits?

No. Claude or ChatGPT connected to Swivel doesn’t use Swivel AI credits. Credits cover the built-in Swivel Assistant, Ask AI and the meeting notetaker.

How do I disconnect my AI app?

Remove the Swivel connector in your AI app. Swivel doesn’t have a screen for connected apps yet.

What happens when my account runs out of AI credits?

The assistant keeps answering help questions. It stops starting new Swivel work, tells you the account is out of credits, and offers to bring in the team. Owners can buy more or turn on automatic reload in Settings > Billing.

Can I still talk to a person?

Yes. Ask for the team at any point. The assistant hands the chat over with a summary so you don’t repeat yourself, or it fills in a support ticket for you to check and send.
